A greyed out/outline might look nice - I'd probably just need to make a couple of changes to have the view showing the difference between two boards. Then all I'd have to do is show greyed out for pieces that have been move/removed and highlight spaces that now have a different piece on them. That would probably sort out castling too (as both the king and rook would be highlighted). hmmm.

you could maybe change the color of the space the piece moved from, or maybe just show a greyed out or outline of the piece?

Actually I turned off viewing the space the piece moved from, as when you were clicking through all of the moves it was harder to see the piece that just moved. What I might try and do instead is highlight all of the squares that the piece moved across, so you can really see what happened. I also need work for castling, as at the moment only the king is highlighted.

There will definitely be some sort of Ajax in the future - just got a few more things to finish off first...

Any chance on the view code to also show the space the piece moved from? Also, it needs to be Ajax!! :)
